Hello Ms. Mitra,
I was looking for your mail-id but could not find in this site (my bad probably). Any way, I would like to request you a piece on the current state of US financial markets and how much time do you think it would take for things to subside. For all I know, it’s affecting Indian markets more than Nasdaq. BSE Sensex has lost ytd 30% making a country with potentially -ve GDP standout vis-a-vis a country with 7%+ annual growth. If you have already done a piece kindly fwd me the link but I am a regular reader — I don’t think you have written about this.

No I haven’t written anything macro on this topic yet. You can check the Obama and Outsourcing piece to get a feel for some of the issues.
The American economy is in for a great deal of trouble in the upcoming months, years.
More later.
