“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” — Albert Einstein

Creating Minds by Howard Gardner - Explores the process of innovation and creativity through the lives of 20th century geniuses such as Picasso, Einstein, Martha Graham, Stravinsky, Eliot, Freud, and Gandhi.
Leading Minds by Howard Gardner - Explores the mental framework of a Leader through the lives of world figures such as Margaret Thatcher, Martin Luther King, George Marshall, Margaret Mead, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Pope John XXIII, former General Motors president Alfred P. Sloan Jr. and educator Robert Hutchins.
Crossing The Chasm by Geoffrey Moore - By far the best book ever written on high tech strategic marketing, and definitely Moore’s best. He only regurgitates in the latter books. This is the only one worth reading. Must read for all entrepreneurs.
Built To Last by Jim Collins - Explores what makes a company sustainable and lasting, rather than one that falls apart after a few years, like many (most) do.
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand - A philosophical thriller that explores what happens when capitalism, for Rand, the fundamental pillar that holds the world together, stops carrying the weight on its shoulders.
Fountainhead by Ayn Rand - Also a philosophical thriller that explores individualism and excellence.
Influence Without Authority by David Bradford & Allan Cohen - You can only lead some from a position of power, but have exponentially more impact leading from a position of influence. Read, particularly, the chapter on Currency of Exchange.
Primal Leadership by Daniel Goleman - Daniel Goleman’s theories on emotional intelligence (EI) have radically altered common understanding of what “being smart” entails, and in Primal Leadership, he and his coauthors present the case for cultivating emotionally intelligent leaders. Goleman and his team emphasize the importance of developing what they term “resonant leadership.” Focusing on the four domains of emotional intelligence–self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management–they explore what contributes to and detracts from resonant leadership.
