Entrepreneur Journeys Book Review: Discussing Entrepreneurship and Positioning

Posted on Thursday, Oct 29th 2009

Sramana shares her thoughts on entrepreneurship, creating jobs, finding money, and other factors important for success during her conversation with Phil Windley for ITConversations.  You can listen to the entire recording here.

For Web Analytics World, Manoj Jasra interviews Sramana about her latest book, “Positioning: How To Test, Validate, and Bring Your Idea To Market”.

Sramana stresses, “I cannot over-emphasize the importance of addressing the detailed Clarify Your Story questions found in the book.  In entrepreneurship, the proverbial devil lies entirely in those details.  Gaining clarity of those issues–pain, value proposition, TAM, channel, messaging, buying cycle, sales cycle–that’s what will determine whether you can build a scalable business or not.  Otherwise, you end up with a spray and pray situation which is entirely undesirable.”

You can read the entire interview here.

From Kevin Clancy’s review of Positioning on Amazon:

“I recommend this book highly to anyone contemplating starting a new business, particularly if the business is grounded in Web applications.”

“Entrepreneur Journeys”, “Bootstrapping: Weapon Of Mass Reconstruction”, and “Positioning: How To Test, Validate, and Bring Your Idea To Market” are all available from Amazon.
