Vision India 2020 Book Review: Naeem Zafar

Naeem Zafar teaches entrepreneurship and innovation as part of the faculty of the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, and is the founder of Concordia Ventures.  He is also a charter member of TiE Silicon Valley. Here is his review:

Vision India 2020 is unlike any other book that I have ever read. Starting with historical data, each story builds credibility with the reader. All of a sudden, the reader finds himself way in the future, speculating if the future has really happened. Sramana weaves technical details with a vision of the future that ignites the imagination and takes the reader into the realm that makes everything seem possible.

The optimism depicted in the book is contagious. One can see the hope that the future holds for new emerging powers which are bound to disrupt the current world order. The book touches on many aspects of what shapes society; from film to technology, and how we fit in society.

I feel that igniting the imagination is a fundamental aspect of fostering entrepreneurship.  The book makes it easy to breakthrough the boundary of today and takes us into a plausible future that we can believe in and feel a part of the creation process. Sramana shows an incredible command of the whole spectrum of disciplines and nuances that only an expert would be able to discern.  That makes the book more interesting and believable no matter what expertise the reader may bring with himself.

Vision India 2020 is a great read for all entrepreneurs who have been and plan to explore opportunities in the new world order.”

Vision India 2020 by Sramana Mitra is available from Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle, from Flipkart in India, and from Smashwords.com in all e-book formats.
