Today, I’ll share with you Michael Goldman’s story. As you read, see how Michael was able to successfully leverage the resources of both his local incubator in Maine and the 1M/1M program.
Don Gooding, executive director of the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development, has been a fan of 1M/1M for some time.
Don sponsored Michael Goldman to join 1M/1M and use 1M/1M resources to accelerate the development of his project Wealth Gathering, which is a social personal finance game.
Ever since he joined, Michael has been working diligently under Sramana’s guidance, and has made excellent progress in fleshing out his ideas and turning them into a business strategy.
After an intensive few months, Michael was also accepted into Maine’s Top Gun Entrepreneurship Acceleration program, through which he will be able to access additional resources. Of course, 1M/1M will continue to support him through the follow-on stages of business building.
You see, it is very difficult to build a critical mass of serious, competent entrepreneurs in a region like Maine. At 1M/1M, we have figured out ways to do so by working in tandem with local incubators, one entrepreneur at a time.
Now think about your own region. How can you put promising entrepreneurs through 1M/1M so that we can work together to build up your region’s entrepreneurial pipeline.
Note: The 1M/1M team has invested significant resources to engage with and understand the challenges of the incubator industry around the globe. You can sign up for our opt-in mailing list to get this information via email on an ongoing basis.
