Stimulating Entrepreneurship in Britain

You have probably read in the press that UK is going into a double-dip recession.

Well, to stimulate entrepreneurship in the UK, 1M/1M is partnering with A&N Media, part of DMGT, Britain’s largest media group.

As part of this effort, A&N Media will be awarding a series of 1M/1M scholarships to entrepreneurs in Britain.

The iPhone and iPad App are packed full of amazing breaking news, show business gossip, glitzy pictures and fantastic sports stories that have made Mail Online a must-have part of millions of people’s lives. On a monthly basis the Full Mail Connected portfolio reaches 20 million readers.

To launch this initiative, A&N Media and TechHub are joining forces to bring you Battle Of The Start-ups on May 22 at 6:30 p.m. in London. Leading start-ups will have the chance to pitch to a panel of judges including myself and a team from A&N Media during a 1M/1M roundtable session. The most innovative and promising companies will be awarded a one-year scholarship to the 1M/1M education and incubation program for entrepreneurs. In addition to TechHub, there will be ongoing 1M/1M roundtables that A&N Media will be co-hosting with other entrepreneur groups in the UK.
