Series A Crunch: Obsession With Exit

Do you know the difference between a business model and an exit strategy?

Are you building a business that has a real, viable business model?

Or are you trying to do an Instagram?

Instagram was a once in a blue moon incident when a team of seven people with no revenues and a product with a questionable business model gets acquired for over a billion dollars.

If your motivation is to build to flip and play the dangerous odds of this game, I am sorry, I don’t think you’d find a lot of takers these days.

There were takers, once upon a time. Not too far back, actually.

A few bets did pay off.

Most didn’t.

VCs have been burned.

This game is over.
