Felix Odigie: When you think about where we actually win, it is in the analytics. You’re training to be more security-aware. How do you measure that? You must be able to show this analysis to the customer and the customer will show it to their executives. That’s what we do. We have a very advanced analytics software in our portfolio. That’s a very strong differentiation for us.
Think of what we’re doing as an antivirus, if you will. We try to prevent hacking access through humans. The next stage of evolution which we’re doing now in partnership is to have a partner who can deploy endpoint solutions just in time. You have FireEye. We have the content and the training.
Now you have a partner who can monitor user activity. When you click on the wrong email twice and you’ve been trained before, it’s time to get trained again. That automatically triggers training. It’s like an antivirus check with more advanced analytics and better ways to ensure that. This is more of a complete solution.
Sramana Mitra: You’re saying that in the enterprises that are buying your product, they are actually monitoring usage?
Felix Odigie: That is part of our differentiation. When you think about it, you’re spending this money on training, you always want to measure ROI.
Sramana Mitra: Does that mean that you have named accounts within an enterprise for all the different employees who are part of the training program where you can track their progress and utilization?
Felix Odigie: Correct. We can track utilization. We give them the ability to track the information.
Sramana Mitra: That’s actually substantial. There is a tremendous amount of lack of utilization in online learning. Even after you bought the product, there is a tremendous amount of lack of utilization. If you’re able to track and report on that such that managers of those enterprises can then call upon those employees who are supposed to be finishing a module to see why they’re not finishing, those are important tools.
Felix Odigie: We actually have something called a Threat Profile. We submit the Threat Profile to the manager. It lets you know who hasn’t finished a program. We’ll also give you a sense of what your threat profile is across different threats. It gives you your security awareness IQ. This analytics feature is very popular. It differentiates us quite a bit.
We found that problem to be true not just from an internal usage issue but also if people have purchased this thing and they’re not using, they’ll always have questions by the renewal time like, “What was the point really if we’re not using this?” The issue comes back to, “On the one hand, you’re not secure.” The only way to protect your infrastructure is not to spend more money in firewalls and infrastructures and all these other software. It’s actually to train your employees and make them more security-aware.
Sramana Mitra: What you’re doing is very interesting. Thank you for your time.
