What does it mean to be READY?
Being READY means you need to be able to tell a credible story to defend a high velocity revenue growth investment thesis.
Investors are looking for high velocity revenue growth.
FUNDABLE means a convincing investment thesis to go from 0 to $100M in 5-7 years is READY.
Typically, this means, you triple revenues during the first 3 years, and double revenues year 4 onwards.
If you have bootstrapped and taken longer to get to $1M or $5M, that’s fine. But when VCs enter the timeline, you have to get to $100M in 7 years..
Essentially, high velocity growth is the name of the game for venture financing.
